POST FALLS, Idaho — The Idaho Department of Labor (IDOL) will host a hiring event on Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Real Life Ministries in Post Falls.

IDOL says employers planning to attend include Buck Knives, Cabela’s, Couer d’Alene Resort, Fred Meyer, Genesis Prep Academy, H&R Block, North Idaho College, Post Falls School District, Trader Joe’s and many more.

"The top five industries looking to hire qualified candidates include administrative and support services, ambulatory health care services, hospitals, food services and drinking places, and lastly, professional, scientific and technical services," Labor Economist Sam Wolkenhauer said.

IDOL says there are approximately 1,500 open job postings in Kootenai County from 560 different employers.

Various positions will be available at the hiring event, including manufacturing technicians, general production workers, financial coaches, media scribes and others.

For a complete list of employers, visit the IdahoWorks calendar.

Customers with disabilities who need a reasonable accommodation to participate in the event can email Jaquetta.Banks@labor.idaho.gov or call 208-696-2712.

IDOL reminds jobseekers that attending a job seeker event counts as one weekly work search action for unemployment insurance purposes.
