Grant County Sheriffs cancel shelter-in-place order in Ephrata after suspect taken into custody

The department says a shooting suspect is in a home. One person has been shot and rescued from the scene.

EPHRATA, Wash. — Grant County Sheriff’s Office have canceled the shelter-in-place order that was in effect for residents on F Street between Division and First in Ephrata. In a release, the department said the suspect is now in custody.

The department says a shooting suspect is in a home. One person has been shot and rescued from the scene. 

The courthouse and nearby schools were in lockdown during the shelter-in-place order. 

The location of the home is two blocks away from Grant County Jail.
