Wings Of Rescue flies in orphaned animals for chance of new life

COEUR D' ALENE, Idaho--- Hundreds of rescue animals from California and Louisiana were flown to new homes today including over 120 to the Pacific Northwest.

18 planes with the Wings of Rescue flew the animals across the country with one that landed at the Coeur d' Alene Airport this afternoon.

22 dogs and cats were taken in by the Kootenai Humane Society, while the remaining 98 arrived at the Spokane Humane Society and Spokanimal, all ready for adoption.

To date, Wings of Rescue has save over 22,000 shelter pets.
