City officials seeking public input on renovations to 2 Spokane dog parks

The open houses will focus on renovations to the High Bridge Dog Park and the Small South Hill Dog Park.

SPOKANE, Wash. — The City of Spokane is looking for public input on renovations of two dog parks.

Parks & Recreation officials are hosting open houses for the High Bridge Dog Park and the Small South Hill Dog Park. The High Bridge Open House is scheduled for April 11 at the Central Library at 6:15 p.m. The Small South Hill Open House is scheduled for April 25 at Peperzak Middle School at 6 p.m.

At this point in the renovation process. officials are finalizing a design for major enhancements and improvements to the condition of the 9.3-acre community High Bridge Dog Park. 

Meanwhile, the South Hill dog park will be located on 1.7 acres of school district property near the previous unofficial dog park at the corner of 63rd and Regal. That property wo;; be transferred to the city and be owned by Parks & Recreation after its completion.

Those who can't attend the open houses can view materials here a few days after each meeting.
