SPOKANE, Wash. — A person was transported to a Spokane hospital in critical condition after being hit by a car near Maple Street and 3rd Ave. near the I-90 on-ramp.
The incident blocked roadways for about an hour Friday as drive-time traffic picked up. According to SPD, the driver of the car cooperated with investigators and police determined impairment or speed were not factors in the incident.
Witnesses reported the person was jaywalking across the street before being hit.
The roadway has since been reopened and traffic is moving smoothly.
KREM 2 News will provide any updates about the person hit as police release more details.
