SPOKANE, Wash. — As winter takes shape in Spokane, residents are prepping accordingly for seasonal activities, which includes fishing their skates out of their closets.

Riverfront Park is following suit, as the park's Numerica Skate Ribbon is expected to open to the public this Saturday, Nov. 18.

“The Numerica Skate Ribbon is a wonderful place to create memories with family and friends,” said Carla Cicero, Numerica Credit Union president and CEO. “Riverfront Park continues to be a special place to be, especially during the holiday season.”

This year, visitors of the rink can rent a private igloo that holds up to six people. Amenities at the igloo include comfortable furniture, a heater, rug and lighting. Reservations can be made here. A 90-minute rental is $90.

Opening day at Numerica is scheduled for this Saturday, Nov. 18 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
