SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane ranked as the number 10 most hipster city in the world, according to according to moving comparison service MoveHub.
Spokane qualifying as hipster in the eyes of the nation is nothing new. In late 2017, the same company noted Spokane as the number seven most hipster city in the United States.
Add the rest of the cities across the globe and Spokane, a small town of just over 200,000, only moved down three spots.
The reason? According to MoveHub, the most hipster cities in the world were narrowed down by the following five data points: Number of vegan eateries, coffee shops, tattoo studios, vintage boutiques and record stores per 100,000 city residents.
The study claims it looked at 446 cities across 20 countries to find the results.
Out of the top ten, seven are within the United states. The number one spot went to Brighton and Hove in the United Kingdom.
More cities in the Pacific Northwest came in the top ten as well. Portland ranked number two and Seattle ranked number four.
