Investigators release new details, photos in Kyron Horman case

Investigators asked for the public's help in providing more details about several reported sightings of the Horman family's pickup truck the day Kyron disappeared, including sightings at two Fred Meyer stores.

PORTLAND Deputies are hoping new photos of Terri Moulton Horman's white pickup truck will 'jog people's memories' and cultivate new leads in the investigation into the disappearance of her step-son, Kyron.

Several large new photos were put on display for the media during the press conference.

For the first time in the investigation, authorities showed and talked about two locations far from the school where Kyron was last seen on June 4.

Chief Deputy District Attorney Rod Underhill said he wanted to know more about possible sightings of a white truck that matched the description of the Horman family pickup at a Fred Meyer store in Beaverton and another in Hillsboro.

He asked for the public's help in providing specific details about sightings of a white truck at these Fred Meyer locations:

- 22075 NW Imbrie Dr., just off Cornelius Pass Rd., in Hillsboro around 9 a.m. on June 4.

-15995 SW Walker Rd. in Beaverton around 10 a.m. on June 4.

In addition, investigators asked people to think back about whether they saw a white truck on or around Newberry Rd., Germantown Rd., Old Germantown Rd., Springville Rd., or Skyline Elementary School between 10:15 and 10:30 a.m. on the day Kyron vanished.

Underhill also pointed to photos behind him that showed the white pickup truck, at different angles, parked in front of Skyline Elementary School and on a side street in front of Skyline. Yet another photo showed a large parking lot at Skyline.

'A witness or witnesses have come forward with information about a person or persons associated with that pickup truck at or near those locations. We are looking for further witnesses,' Underhill explained.

'We're going to put out pieces of information in order to help people remember and as we develop new leads in the case, we develop new locations based on that information,' Capt. Jason Gates with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office explained during the Wednesday morning press conference.

Investigators said people should call the tip line if they have any information related to any of those specific locations, as investigators continued to try and zero in on new clues. Tip line: (503) 261-2847

'The investigation is certainly productive, but it's not just one of those cases that's going to fall into our lap,' Gates added. 'We don't' have any information indicating that Kyron Horman is not alive.'

2nd person in Terri's truck

KGW first reported Monday that a second person was seen in Terri's truck while she was inside Skyline Elementary School on the day her step-son, Kyron vanished.

Several sources in the Skyline community, including people who have spoken with investigators, told KGW about this sighting of an unknown adult but they have not said whether the person was a man or woman.

Flier focuses on DeDe Spicher

In addition, police onTuesday released a new flier distributed to residents who live near Skyline, which contained more photos of Terri, along with her close friend, DeDe Spicher. The flier also asked if anyone had information about either of their whereabouts on June 4, the day Kyron vanished.

Reliable sources told KGW that Spicher was gone and unreachable even longer than originally thought on June 4. Sources now say that she left the place where she was gardening near Skyline at 10 a.m. and could not be tracked down until 1 p.m., leaving a 3-hour window when she was unaccounted for.
