Spokane Police arrest man suspected of shooting, killing another man in North Spokane

Police said the intersection of Lidgerwood and Wedgewood was closed as part of their investigation.

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Police Department arrested a man suspected of shooting and killing another man in North Spokane earlier this week.

Spokane Police arrested 23-year-old Wyatt Comer for second-degree murder. Police say Comer has an extensive violent criminal history that includes six felony convictions. 

Police say Comer was arrested in Spokane Valley near Pines and I-90.

The shooting took place in the 200 block of E. Wedgewood in North Spokane near the Serrano North and South apartments.

Police found a deceased man in the walkway when they arrived shortly before midnight. 

Police say a group of people were involved in an altercation before the shooting. Police believe the people knew each other.

Police closed the intersection of Lidgerwood and Wedgewood for hours as part of their investigation.
