Lewiston police respond to box of blasting caps found in man's shed, reports say

According to Lewiston CBS-affiliate KLEW, police closed off an area on Third Street due to the discovery of what appears to be 100 blasting caps.

LEWISTON, Idaho — The Lewiston Police Department has closed off part of Third Street due to the discovery of a suspicious device appearing to hold about 100 blasting caps, according to Lewiston CBS-affiliate KLEW.

KLEW tweeted the news at 11:40 a.m. on Thursday and also reported that the Spokane County Bomb Squad was on the way to the scene and the area had been closed for safety reasons.
