SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A new soccer field is coming to Spokane Valley thanks to the Seattle Sounders and the RAVE Foundation.
The Sounders said the mini field at Balfour Park in Spokane Valley is scheduled to open on Thursday, September 19 at 4 p.m. The field is a bright, hard-court surface soccer mini-pitch.
RAVE said they are also committed to donating one soccer ball to every child that lives within a walkable mile of the park, along with free soccer training opportunities.
The Sounders said this is the first small field built for free play in the Spokane area.
The Sounders said RAVE intends to build 52 fields before the FIFA World Cup 2026™. They plan to open the 26th mini-pitch this fall.
