Nadia Cole pleads 'not guilty' to charges of international kidnapping in case out of Pullman

Cole is the third person being indicted in an international kidnapping case out of Pullman.

PULLMAN, Wash. — Nadia Cole appeared in court on Friday, September 6 and entered a "not guilty" plea in response to international kidnapping charges against her. 

According to documents from the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington, Cole will not be held in jail and will be released on conditions. 

Cole is the fiancée of Aaron Aung and is being charged with conspiring to and committing international kidnapping. 

Cole is the third person to be indicted in the case, following Aaron Aung and his father, Jaimes Aung. 

Court documents say that Cole went with Aung to Mexico with Aung’s daughter in June 2024 and remained there until July 4.  

Cole was reported missing at SeaTac at the end of May and was believed to be traveling with Aung, whose whereabouts were unknown at the time. 

Aung and Cole were detained by authorities in Mexico and then turned over to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The FBI coordinated with authorities at the National Institute of Migration, Mexican State Police, the Nogales Police Department, U.S. Customs and Border Protection to locate the child and return her home safely. The girl has been placed in the care of Arizona Child Protective Services.
