SPOKANE, Wash. — Break out the snowboards and pull the ski poles from the back of the closet; Mt. Spokane Ski & Snowboard Park is officially open for the season.
The beloved ski resort announced Wednesday its kicking off the season from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with three lifts and Lodge 2 currently open. Because it's still early in the season, however, mountain employees are asking visitors to be ready for variable conditions.
Coverage at the top of the mountain looks good, but employees recommend not bringing out new snowboards or skis until a bit more snow falls.
Right now, Beginner's Luck (Chair 5), Parkway Express (Chair 3) and Illuminator (Chair 2) are open, but the mountain hopes to have more operating by the weekend. Additionally, Lodge 2 will be open. Limited Terrain tickets are available for Wednesday through Sunday for $45 and tickets can be purchased online. Tickets for any day past Sunday are not available yet.
Shops at the mountain will be open Wednesday through Saturday, and live music is planned for 12:30-3:30 p.m. on Friday at the Foggy Bottom Bar.
Equipment rentals won't be available until Saturday.
