COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — U.S. Attorney Josh Hurwit announced the results of a drug distribution case in North Idaho on Wednesday.
Kristopher Andrew Anderson, 46, of Alberton, Mont., was sentenced to 86 months in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl.
According to court records, Anderson was involved in trafficking methamphetamine and fentanyl.
“The case results announced today reflect stellar work by our prosecutors and staff,” said Hurwit. “Together with our law enforcement partners, our office is rising to meet the challenge that drug trafficking poses to communities in North Idaho. The partnerships that drive these cases will continue to make our state a terrible place for drug dealers to do business.
The defendant was stopped by officers in Shoshone County while driving under the influence of fentanyl.
