Arrest warrant issued for father of missing two-year-old girl

Nadia Cole was reported as missing on May 28, one day before a two-year-old was reported missing.

PULLMAN, Wash. โ€” According to the Pullman Police Department, they are working to find a missing two-year-old girl whose father is possibly connected to a missing 21-year-old Washington State University graduate.

Pullman Police said the two-year-old girl was last seen with her father, Aaron Aung from Moscow, on May 29. Police say the girl and Aung were reportedly traveling to Montana on a fishing trip but have not returned.

On Wednesday, Pullman Police issued an arrest warrant for Aaron Daniel Aung, for first-degree Custodial Interference. Police say Aung is in violation of a Latah County District Court parenting plan for retaining custody of his missing 2-year-old, Seraya Aung Harmon.

Police say the girl was supposed to return to her mom in Pullman on June 3, but they did not appear at the scheduled custody exchange.

According to police, Aung may be traveling with 21-year-old Nadia Cole, a recent WSU student who was reported missing to the Port of Seattle Police Department on May 28.

Cole was last seen leaving SeaTac Airport on May 29, just after 3 p.m. She was last seen wearing a black North Face jacket, a sage green hoodie, black yoga pants, a tan shoulder bag and white sneakers.

There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to her safe return home.

Anyone with information on where the girl might be is asked to call the Pullman Police Department or their local law enforcement agency.

The Pullman Police Department and the Moscow Police Department are working on the investigation.

KREM2 spoke to the mother of the missing two-year-old child, Samara Harmon, who said she was never informed that her daughter and Aung were going to Montana.

Harmon said she was completely unaware of the situation until yesterday when she found out from police about what was going on.

"She is the definition of diva, but also the absolute sweetest person I've ever met. She's my very best friend," Harmon said.

Harmon, who is also 20 weeks pregnant, is hoping that something like this doesn't happen to other parents.

"This is my worst nightmare, and I don't wish it upon my worst enemy," Harmon said. "And if there's any other parents who have gone through this before, my heart beyond goes out to them. And I really hope that this is something I mean, I know there's probably no way for law enforcement to prevent this from ever happening to anyone. But I just hope that it doesn't happen very often. And just everyone hug your babies extra tight and hold them extra long and cherish every millisecond even the tough ones because you don't know when they just won't be coming home."

"When you don't have your child actively in your arms, it feels like nothing is happening," Harmon said.
