Meridian woman who died after motorcycle accident near Lucky Peak Dam identified

Kirsten Olsen, a 20-year-old from Meridian, crashed her motorcycle on June 29.

ADA COUNTY, Idaho — The Ada County Coroner's Office has identified a 20-year-old woman from Meridian who died in a motorcycle crash near Lucky Peak Dam as Kirsten Olsen. According to the Idaho State Police (ISP), the crash happened about 9.5 miles from the dam on Saturday, June 29 around 8:30 p.m.

ISP said the woman was riding a 2024 Yamaha YZFR3 in the left-hand lane when she failed to negotiate a curve and crashed. She was wearing a helmet but died at the scene. According to the coroner, Olsen died from multiple blunt force injuries, and the crash was labeled an accident.

ISP is investigating and the coroner will release more information following the investigation.
