SPOKANE -- A memorial service is set for former Gonzaga men's basketball coach Dan Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald died earlier this week at the age of 67.
Former coaches and players are expected to honor Fitzgerald Wednesday at Northern Quest Casino. It begins at 9:00 a.m.
Fitzgerald was known as the fiery leader of Gonzaga teams in the 1980's and 1990's. He also went on to become Gonzaga's Athletic Director. He hired future head coaches Mark Few and Don Monson as his Gonzaga assistants.
