SPOKANE-- The Spokane International Film Festival kicked off Saturday with a Hollywood star.
Matthew Modine, the star of Vision Quest, made an appearance Saturday night at the Garland Theater. He spoke to a packed crowd before the show.
The Garland Theater played the 1985 film to help raise money to rebuild the Milk Bottle and Ferguson's Cafe.
The festival runs through Feb. 5.
