January marks a fresh calendar and goals for many, with fitness often ranking high on the resolutions list. Retail stores place sale signs atop half-empty racks of workout clothes, a hot commodity for the fashion forward fitness enthusiast- or at least soon to be such.

Goal... check. Fashionable fitness outfit... check. And then the hard part-- the actual workout.

Get Air Spokane, a new trampoline park in Spokane's Northtown Mall, offers an alternative to typical jogs and gyms.

Livwell Spokane Host Kelly Welsh sat down with Get Air Manager Sandy Tipton to learn more about what the park has to offer.

"It's low impact and you have the ability to burn up to 1,000 calories in an hour," says Tipton of trampolining.

Jumpers can navigate through several activities at the park, including wall-to-wall trampolines, a giant foam pit, and a mini ninja course. The park also caters to group events and birthday parties, offering team games like dodgeball and a slam basketball court.

"It's a great opportunity for little kids and big kids alike," says Tipton, adding that the park has a Kiddie Court area for kids under 46 inches. The trampoline and foam pit reserved for the youngest jumpers allows them to have fun without dodging the big kids.

Though the park aims to deliver fun, Tipton says safety is the top priority. All jumpers must wear Get Air jump socks, equipped with traction pads on the feet to help prevent slipping.
