LEWISTON, Idaho — The Lewiston Police Department (LPD) is investigating a report of a possible gunshot fired at the Lewiston City Hall on Friday morning.

LPD says someone at the city hall building reported hearing a loud noise that they thought to be a gunshot and found a hole on the south side of the building's second floor.

LPD responded to the scene and, after initial investigations, say they believe it was an isolated incident as no other gunshots, property damage or injuries have been reported.

LPD says City Hall remains open and asks that anyone with information about the incident contact Detective Dave Crane at (208) 746-0171.
