IDAHO, USA — This summer, there will be Learn-to-Hunt-and-Fish day camps throughout the Panhandle Region.

These summer day camps will give kids ages 10-15 the experience to earn their hunter education certificate.

What can you expect from the camp?

Participants will be able to partake in live-fire activities with modern bowhunting equipment and firearms (.22 caliber rifles, 20 gauge shotguns, and muzzleloaders) under the supervision of NRA-certified instructors.

Kids will also be able to learn basic outdoor survival skills within group scenarios. They will also be able to practice game tracking and discover the science behind hunting seasons! They can also try out some primitive hunting skills, and become "bear aware."

Who can participate?

The day camps are for children ages 10 to 15. If you already have a hunter education certificate, then these camps are not for you since they are for beginners.

Important details:

There are two camps offered this summer, but only one is left for the season.

Registration is open now, but don't wait to sign up since spots fill up fast. You will be contacted with more details before the camp starts.

The cost for the classes is only $20 for four days from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
