Innovation Den expands to building across street in downtown CDA

Their idea is to make an Innovation Den campus.

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – The Innovation Den in downtown Coeur d’Alene is expanding.

The owners of the tech company center – located in the old Elks Building – recently also purchased the “little yellow building” across the street.

Their idea is to make an Innovation Den campus.

“People currently working at the Innovation Den here will have the rights to use the grass patios and hangout on the hammocks and play bocce or whatever we decide to put in the front yard there,” Nick Smoot, the founder of the Innovation Den said. “But we will keep the grass in the front yard so that way we can have a nice hangout spot."

It already houses a coffee shop, a massive fireplace, a theater and several tech companies. The expansion will total over 70 office spaces across the campus.

The founder says this is just the beginning of their efforts to expand in other locations throughout Idaho as well.
