COEUR D’ALENE, Id. – A Coeur d'Alene golf club could be the next hot retreat for Hollywood stars and celebrities.
Rumors surfaced recently suggesting that several pop stars, athletes and even a member of the Kardashian family have been making their way to the quiet of North Idaho.
So, what is drawing these A-list celebrities to the Northwest?
Apparently, it’s Gozzer Ranch, a private golf club that sprawls across 700 acres on the east end of Lake Coeur d’Alene. Gozzer is a private, quiet place, something celebrities visiting the area seem to enjoy about the resort.
Fans of Kim Kardashian West’s Instagram page were able to see some photos she recently posted that resembled much of the area surrounding Coeur d’Alene Lake. Although she did not explicitly say where she was, the signs are there.
In several photos are a beautiful lake near docks resembling those that look like the ones in Coeur d’Alene. She also posted a huckleberry-flavored cocktail, a local favorite.
Kardashian also posted a video of her taking wake surfing lessons on the lake. The instructor was wearing a pair of shorts with half of the Gozzer Ranch logo on the bottom.
Kardashian has not been the only celebrity at Gozzer recently. Gossip website TMZ claimed that former One Direction band member Harry Styles was staying at Gozzer.
Former Major League Baseball All-Star Alex Rodriguez posted pictures on social media showing that he was also in Idaho. His photos appeared to look similar to the areas surrounding Lake Coeur d’Alene.
It was confirmed that former hockey great Wayne Gretzky has owned a place at Gozzer. He has written about that in Golf Digest.
So why North Idaho, and why Gozzer?
No one can deny Lake Coeur d'Alene's beauty, of course. And Gozzer looks almost just as nice as the beautiful scenery surrounding it.
But the true draw to the area could be because Gozzer, just like the rest of North Idaho, is mostly private and quiet.
Some come to North Idaho to be left alone and enjoy the Northwest
Celebrities are apparently wanting a piece of that life, too.
