Idaho pastor says he was Odom's second target

Coeur d’Alene pastor Tim Remington was shot multiple times on Sunday after a service. Odom is the suspected shooter, according to CDA police officials.

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – A pastor at the Altar Church told KREM 2 News’ Taylor Viydo that he was the second suspected targeted by suspected Coeur d’Alene shooter Kyle Odom.

The Outreach pastor John Padula told KREM 2 News’ Taylor Viydo that he was the second suspected targeted by suspected Coeur d’Alene shooter Kyle Odom. Padula said SWAT members were at his house on Tuesday as a precaution.

CDA police officials said a letter was sent to the family of Odom that indicated there was a second target, along with Remington.

Police officials said Odom was arrested in Washington D.C. on Tuesday and is in custody.

Odom is suspected of shooting Remington on Sunday after a church service. Remington is still in the hospital for multiple gunshot wounds but is in stable condition.

A source at the U.S. Secret Service told CNN, Odom was taken into custody after he threw suspicious objects over the south fence of the White House. It happened at around 5:30 p.m. PST, the U.S. Secret Service source told to CNN.

CDA police officials said in a release they will hold a press conference at 8:00 p.m. to discuss the most current information regarding the case.

The Coeur d’Alene Police Department issued warrant of Attempted First-Degree Murder for Odom, Coeur d'Alene police head Lee White said at a press conference on Monday.
