KELLER, Wash. —  The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announced that the Keller Ferry will return to service on Thursday, Jan 25.

According to WSDOT, the ferry was removed from service on Wednesday, January 10 because of an electrical issue that caused transmission problems while sailing. In addition, technicians realized that an electrical breaker system in the ferry failed.

The recent arctic air in the region also froze several pipes connected to the ferry's generators, according to WSDOT.
