SANDPOINT, Idaho — After shutting down operations due to heavy rainfall, Schweitzer Mountain announced they will reopen parts of the mountain this Saturday, December 9.
According to the mountain's snow report, six inches of rain earlier in the week heavily impacted slopes, but now, officials say they are planning to reopen the Basin Express and the Carpet.
The mountain will remain closed on Friday as crews make more snow to prepare the trails for skiing. In the meantime, officials said Crow's Bench, Mojo, Chimney Rock and Cambium Spa are still open daily with a free shuttle from the Red Barn.
