POST FALLS, Idaho — The Idaho State Police (ISP) is investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed a 56-year-old man from Coeur d'Alene on Tuesday night.

ISP troopers asks anyone who was in the area of State Highway 41 and West Prairie Avenue in Post Falls between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. who witnessed the crash, has information about the crash or who possesses dashcam footage of the intersection during or shortly before the incident to contact Trooper Whitt at (208) 209-8620.

ISP says preliminary investigation indicates that a 75-year-old man from Cocolalla driving northbound on SH41 failed to stop for a red light at the West Prairie Avenue intersection and hit a car driving west through the intersection.

Both drivers were taken to a local hospital by ambulance. The 75-year-old driver suffered only minor injuries while the 56-year-old reportedly died from his injuries at the hospital.

ISP is currently investigating the crash.
