Spokane Valley holding open house to discuss newly adopted Homeless Action Plan

The gathering will have representatives from the city, police department as well as several other community organizations.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Spokane Valley is hosting an open house on Monday evening to talk about their Homeless Action Plan.  Spokane Valley City Council unanimously adopted the plan last week.

The city will talk about the new action plan as well as answer any questions people have about homelessness in the community.

The meeting will have representatives from the city, police department as well as several other community organizations.

According to the city, the Homeless Action Plan is something they have been working on for years. They say it is a plan for how Spokane Valley is going to try and reduce and prevent homelessness.

Over the past two years, the Spokane Valley community has had a few opportunities to give their opinions on what should be in the plan.

The event will run from 5-7 p.m. at the Centerplace Event Center in Spokane Valley.
