SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Troopers are investigating after two people were hurt in a hit-and-run collision in Spokane Valley, shortly after 3:00 pm on Sunday.
Washington State Patrol said two vehicles were driving eastbound on E. Trent Avenue as they approached a roundabout at N. Barker Road. Troopers say the driver of a Jeep Wrangler was speeding and reportedly driving erratically. At the roundabout, the Jeep rear-ended a Toyota Camry. The driver of the Jeep then drove away.
Two people inside the Camry were hurt and taken to Valley Hospital to be treated. Washington State Patrol did not share any further details about the victims' conditions.
Troopers did find the suspected driver of the Jeep thanks to a tip from a witness. Charges are currently pending against the driver and troopers say drugs or alcohol may be involved.
