ID=16924067QUINCY, Wash. - The Grant County Sheriff's Office arrested one of their off-duty deputies in Quincy after a domestic violence situation.

Deputies believed he had barricaded himself inside a home on H St. and 3rd Avenue around 12:00 p.m. Sunday. Officials said Corey Linscott, 36, actually left his house prior to Sheriff's arriving. Officials said the call was related to an altercation between Linscott and his step-son.

Authorities said when they arrived they found Linscott's step-son and his mother trying to leave the home. Deputies said they did not get a response from Linscott when they called into the house. They said Linscott was never barricaded inside the home and he came back to the house two hours later.

Officials said the Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team was called in to assist as a precaution.

Linscott was arrested for investigation of Fourth Degree Assault-Domestic Violence for the alleged altercation. Quincy Police are investigating the possible assault.

An internal investigation by the Grant Count Sheriff's Office is being conducted. Authorities said this is a normal procedure after this type of incident.
