GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — Grant County Fire District 13 used a Life Flight helicopter to rescue an injured hiker on Saturday.
According to the fire district, the hiker was injured on the Beasley or "Beezley" Hills.
Emergency responders used a one-wheeled stoke rescue basket to move the hiker through rough terrain so that he could be extricated from the hill by the helicopter and attended to.
BEASLEY RESCUE: Our one wheeled stokes rescue basket is an important tool that equips us to move patients safely. Today a hiker was injured on Beasley and the stokes allowed us to smoothly move the patient up hill about 100 yards through rough terrain to a waiting LifeLine Ambulance, Inc. A Life Flight Network helicopter responded to complete the extrication off the hill. #toolsofthetrade #teamwork
