WASHINGTON, USA — A scam text message is targeting Washington drivers who use the Good To Go service.
The Washington State Department of Transportation Good To Go! X account posted on Monday, warning drivers that the text was circulating and to not click the link included in the message.
The text reads: "Washington mygoodtogo tolls services, our records indicate that your vehicle has an unpaid toll invoice. To avoid additional charges of $66.70 please settle your balance of $6.67 at https://mygoodtogotoll.com."
The real Good To Go website URL is MyGoodToGo.com and does not include the word "toll."
"Be wary of scams and fake websites!" Good To Go's post reads. "We won't ask you to make payments online anywhere but MyGoodToGo.com. Some of the fakes may look convincing, or even have a similar URL, but the only website to pay a bill is MyGoodToGo.com."
Viewers reached out to KING 5 about the scam, saying they, their family and friends have received the text message.
