Two Spokane organizations requesting donations to help people cool down amid heat wave

Two Amazon wish lists have been published to give people the chance to donate fans to those in need of cooling resources.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Two local organizations are asking for your help donating fans to help those who are being impacted by the extreme heat wave hitting the Spokane area.

Giving Back Spokane and Meals on Wheels of Greater Spokane County posted two Amazon wish lists consisting of portable fans, portable AC units, box fans, handheld fans and cooling towels for you to purchase to help those in need.

Rick Clark with Giving Back Spokane said in a Facebook post that they will be handing out the spray/mist water bottles and neck cooling cloths to anyone who is suffering in the area.

Clark said over $750 worth of stuff has already been purchased, saying they have over 110 cooling cloths coming and around 30 water misting spray bottles.
