SPOKANE, Wash. — The Gary Sinise Foundation is teaming up with Amazon for the third straight year to give more than $60,000 to Spokane County Fire District 10 for new bailout kits. These kits help firefighters escape a building when the primary entry and exit points are completely blocked.
The grant is a part of $200,000 that will go towards new equipment across Washington State. In addition to Spokane County Fire District 10, the Seattle Fire Department also received $150,000.
The Gary Sinise Foundation and Amazon volunteers also served meals of gratitude to first responders.
The grants and meals are a part of National First Responders Day on October 28.
