Our thoughts and prayers are with former KREM2 News anchor Dawn Picken and her family.
Dawn's husband, Sean Stanelun, a former KREM2 photojournalist, passed away Friday night after battling complications from a rare flesh eating bacteria.
Sean fell ill in September. He fought hard, telling KREM2 News in November that his wife and children gave him strength as he moved from medical facility to medical facility. Dawn never left his side.
Sean leaves behind two children, Fiona and Finely. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dawn and her children. Sean will be deeply missed.
A public memorial to honor Sean is scheduled for Sunday, February 14, at 2:00 p.m. at St.John's Cathedral, located at 127 E. 12th Ave. in Spokane.
