Spokane County Treasurer’s Office to hold annual tax foreclosure auction in December

Twenty-six pieces of land are up for auction this year and can be bid on through the afternoon on Monday, Dec. 4.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane County will host its yearly tax foreclosure auction on Monday, Dec. 4.

The Spokane County Treasurer's Office will have 26 units up for auction this year. Some lots will have vacant land and others will have buildings.

All the lots up for auction can be found on the Spokane County website. Each property is sold as is and all sales are final.

A foreclosed property can be redeemed from the auction until 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1. Bids start at $1,076. Starting bids are calculated from back taxes owed and other fees currently charged to the lot. Any bids left over after paying the minimum amount will go to the previous owner of the property.

The Spokane County Treasurer's Office recommends talking to a legal expert for any questions about buying a property.
