PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University's Provost race is heating up as the first finalist was announced publicly on Monday.

The first finalist announced is Dr. T. Chris Riley-Tillman, the Dean of the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Missouri. According to Pullman Radio, "Dr. Riley-Tillman will take part in a public presentation inside the PACCAR Building on Tuesday at 3:10."

A total of three finalists will interview for WSU’s top academic post over the course of next week. The public will have access to their names a day before they have public presentations on campus.

This comes after the university split the Provost position into two separate offices. The current WSU Provost, Elizabeth Chilton, will continue as WSU Pullman Chancellor. Dr. Chilton has been provost and Pullman chancellor for the past three years.
