Medical Examiner confirmed identity of 13-year-old girl pulled from Clear Lake

Sheriff's Office deputies and dive teams pulled the body of a young girl from Clear Lake.

MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. — Spokane County Medical Examiner confirmed the identity of a 13-year-old girl who was pulled from Clear Lake around 5:10 p.m. on Saturday.

Authorities believe Addyson Shafer jumped into the water and did not resurface. The medical examiner ruled Shafer's death as an accident. 

Dive team members are Marine Enforcement patrol recovered the body following a search that began around 1 p.m.

According to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office, the girl jumped off a boat and into the water just before 1 p.m. on Saturday. 

SCSO says Sheriff deputies, Marine Enforcement Patrol Boats and dive team members were called to assist in the search. 

A GoFundMe has been set up in memory of Addyson.
