Law enforcement, fire crews responding to fire behind Orofino Elementary School

The City of Orofino is asking people to let firefighters and police do their jobs.

OROFINO, Idaho — A fire broke out behind Orofino Elementary School Wednesday evening.

The Orofino Joint School District confirmed to KREM 2 the fire did not damage the school. However, they said during the storm, some metal from a roof was blown through the front office windows, breaking two of them.

The school district also confirmed that school on Thursday went ahead as scheduled.

The cause of the fire has not been released yet.

Fire up behind Orofino Elementary School. Please let the fire departments and police officers do their jobs. Prayers to those that my be in harms way and to all our first responders working on this.
