FERRY COUNTY, Wash. — Avista has restored power to 1,718 customers who were without power in Ferry and Stevens counties as of 3:05 p.m. Sunday.
According to the Avista outage map, 1,718 customers were without power in an area stretching from the Canadian border near Laurier in Ferry County to just north of Colville in Stevens County on Sunday morning into Sunday afternoon.
Avista listed the cause of the outage as being under investigation. They have not released further information on why the power outage occurred.
Originally, Avista estimated power would be restored by 1:30 p.m. Sunday before first pushing the estimate back to 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
The first reports of the outages came at 10:38 a.m. on Sunday.
No other eastern Washington power companies are reported outages on Sunday morning.
