Fairchild Air Force Base to host emergency response exercise this week

The exercises will run from July 22-24.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Team Fairchild at Fairchild Air Force Base are conducting an emergency response exercise on July 22-24.

According to a release, personnel and visitors on the base can expect to see first responders conducting emergency response procedures that will include sirens, fast-moving vehicles, and loud noises coming from the exercise area.

The exercise is not expected to impact services on the base such as medical appointments or the Base Exchange or Commissary operations.

The base says the goal of the exercise is to provide emergency response training for units across the base in the event an active threat incident occurs.
