Fairchild Air Force Base hosting meeting and open house on PFAS cleanup in West Plains

The base's Restoration Advisory Board will host the meeting at the Shriners Event Center on February 7 from 3-4 p.m. with open house from 6-8 p.m.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — Fairchild Air Force Base's Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) will be hosting a discussion and open house on environmental restoration and PFAS chemicals at the Shriners Event Center this February.

The meeting will take place on February 7 from 3-4 p.m. with an open house from 6-8 p.m. West Plains Water Coalition board members John Hancock and Mo Noder are expected to discuss when PFAS cleanup in Spokane's West Plains will begin.

Hancock and Noder will discuss how the cleanup process will work, how many citizens will be following the cleanup process and other pressing questions.

The open house will provide the public with an opportunity to ask more specific questions regarding water quality in their wells at home, including anything else regarding restoration program plans and activities.
