SPOKANE, Wash. — The Downtown Spokane Partnership (DSP) will host a community clean-up on Wednesday, October 30 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

DSP invites community members to volunteer in activities including litter and leaf pick-up, graffiti removal and tidying up downtown Spokane.

Clean-up areas will include the downtown core and south downtown between the railroad and I-90.

DSP says no experience is necessary and only asks that volunteers bring a passion for keeping Spokane beautiful.

Volunteers will be provided with instructions from DSP Clean Team members, the necessary tools for pick-up and morning snacks provided by the Downtown Spokane Grocery Outlet.

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing including long pants and sturdy shoes and to bring their own work gloves.

Those interested in volunteering can sign up through the Volunteer Spokane website.

This community clean-up will occur just one month after the DSP began a supplemental cleaning contract with the City of Spokane focusing on the areas of downtown south of the BNSF railroad viaduct. The supplemental contract will last through March of 2025.
