Local band "DINK" searching for community help after instruments, audio equipment were stolen

According to a GoFundMe account, the band filed a police report, but were told not much else could be done.

SPOKANE, Wash. — A local band is asking for help from the community after their instruments and audio equipment were stolen.

According to GoFundMe, "DINK" was performing at the South Perry Farmers Market in the Perry District when their instruments and audio equipment were stolen.

According to the GoFundMe account set up for the band, a bass guitar, electric cello and some sound equipment, including monitors, were stolen. The GoFundMe said the band filed a police report, but "unfortunately, the police are not able to do much about property crime in this area."

"It's a real bummer especially since we pay for everything out of pocket," the GoFundMe reads. "We make music because we love it, not because it's a solid source of income. So things like this really hit us hard."

The GoFundMe has a financial goal of $800. You can find the GoFundMe link here.
