SPOKANE, Wash. — The Grant County Sheriff’s Office confirmed on Friday that one of the victims from Monday’s shooting in Desert Aire Park has died.
The department said all of the people involved were under 18 years old. Two people were shot in the incident, one sustained minor injuries and the one with critical injuries has died. The juvenile was flown by air ambulance to a hospital on the west side.
Sheriff’s say after the shooting, the victims drove themselves to a home in the 200 block of Thunderbird Way in Desert Aire.
Authorities believe the shooting was gang-related.
The King County Medical Examiner is expected to release the juvenile’s identity in the coming days.
