NORTH SPOKANE-- Fire District 9 responded to a fire at a grain silo in North Spokane.
Thursday afternoon crews responded to a fire near Market and Parksmith at Global Harvest Foods.
Crews determined that the fire might have been mechanical with the grain elevator's ball bearings causing it to smoke
The fire department slowly released some of the grain to ensure not hot spots existed.
The silo was holding 11,000 pounds of grain.
