SPOKANE -- The man convicted of murdering two young people in North Spokane in 2008 will serve two life sentences in jail for the crimes.
A Spokane County judge sentenced JustinCrenshaw to two consecutive life sentences Thursday for stabbing and slashing Sarah Clark and Tanner Pehl to death.
Crenshaw killed the two using knives and swords and then lit the house on fire to cover the evidence. Firefighters found the bodies of Clark and Pehl after they responded to the report of a house fire.
Crenshaw was convicted last week on two counts of First Degree Murder with aggravated circumstances.
In court Thursday,Crenshaw did not speak on his own behalf. Instead, family members of Clark and Pehl communicated their thoughts on the sentencing.
