COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — Update: Coeur d'Alene Public Schools has confirmed with KREM 2 News that the missing 12-year-old has been found and is safe.

The Coeur d'Alene Police Department is seeking the public's help in its search for a missing 12-year-old.
CDAPD says at about 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, police were notified that the student was not at school.
According to the student's parents, they left their house at approximately 7:30 a.m. but did not arrive at Woodland Middle School. CDAPD says it is believed the student chose to miss school but it is unclear where they may have gone.
CDAPD officers and detectives are working to locate the child.
The student is approximately 4 feet and 10 inches tall with light brown hair and brown eyes.
CDAPD says they were last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants and black and red Nike shoes.
CDAPD asks that anyone with information about the student's location contact the police department.
