SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — The Spokane Valley Fire Department (SVFD) responded to a car crashing through the wall of the JCPenney at the Spokane Valley Mall around 1 a.m. on Wednesday.
The car drove through the exterior wall on the north side of the building, getting stuck partially in the store.
SVFD found one person unresponsive in the back seat of the car. Firefighters had to cut the headrests in the back seat to remove the person through the back window. The person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There was no one in the store at the time of the crash. The store manager estimates the damage to cost between $30,000 to $50,000.
The car has been removed and the hole in the wall of the building is now boarded up.
