Real-life Forrest Gump | Man running across the United States, making his way through Washington

Cameron Dean Balser is running clockwise across the US, he is now less than two weeks away from completing the run back where he started in Cleveland, Ohio.

WASHINGTON — Cameron Dean Balser started his journey running across the United States on Oct. 9, 2023.

Just over 230 days later, he is making his way through Okanogan County. 

Balser is running clockwise across the US, he is now less than two weeks away from completing the run back where he started in Cleveland, Ohio. 

According to his website, "Motivated by a deep inner calling, Cameron believes in pursuing dreams that resonate from within, hoping to inspire others to chase their own aspirations."

Balser's stats on his website (subject to change):

Ran around 8,100 miles, the equivalent of running 309 marathons.

Climbed 310,617 feet, equivalent to climbing Mount Everest 11 times. 

Balser has run for 216 days, taking only 15 rest days so far. He has run on average 37.5 miles per day. He is currently running in New Balance 880, he has gone through 25 pairs of shoes.
